All the forums are coming to this. One of the threads had the same 4 people talking in for over a year. Everything is on Facebook now, including crap information.

It's unfortunate, but the traffic is far less. However, there is a mountain of useful information to be found here, so I won't be going anywhere long as I own a 5th gen. I just hope it stays up. And if it's ever in danger of shutting down, I'd hope they announce so we could possibly do something about it. It's worth protecting.

Not sure about that.. reason I say this is because I used to own a C4 Corvette many years ago and a 3rd Gen Camaro as well.... These forums are still heavily active today and ongoing.... The FB groups I agree are full of misinformation and BS if you ask me. I did start a thread over a month or two ago asking the same thing during the summer months. Here is the link to my thread...

The car has run it's course. The active members are either new to the 5th gen or the enthusiasts. Basically owners who care about their car for the most part.

This is always the first place I go if I need some information on the car or have a question. But yeah, it's definitely not how it used to be.

Worst is the classified section, unfortunately. I would much prefer to buy from members here than some scamming stranger on Facebook. But some of the categories there are ghost towns. Damn shame. I try and get in here at least once a day though. This place is too valuable to go anywhere...hopefully.

Even LS1tech has slowed down considerably and it kinda sucks. I remember when coming on here 13 years ago and Tech 19 years ago and the forums were always getting new threads. But that’s just part of life, not many “new” things people are doing, most of it has already been done. Plus a lot of the younger generation doesn’t view the forums as being as useful as FB

Major enthusiast right here! I own a car I only dreamed about since they released the information about modifying stock cars, but the newer owners to these cars have no idea who Berger Chevrolet is or what they did for Muscle cars in the 60’s. They know the Yenko name because of the SVE 6th gens though.

I love my 5th gen, many years of mods I’ve done, but things have slowed down. Old members have moved on (still peek in every now and then). Not a lot of new innovations. Happens to a lot of boards…

Not sure what OP is looking for. I think this forum moves along fairly well. Between Camaro5 and Camaro6 still plenty of info and usually a pretty quick response to technical questions. Maybe it's time to put the computer or phone down for a bit and go for a serious rip in your Camaro. Time for a new mod or possibly a good, heavy duty detail job? Show that nice ride of yours some attention and then post a few pics. If you want to participate in some heated debate jump into the never ending Electric Vehicles thread. Maybe we should bring the blend door thread back to life for old times sake. First few pages are a who's who of banned and suspended folks. I think as the cars age this forum will become even more useful. Hope I'm right!

I love how useful these forums are. I can google almost anything related to the 5th gen and type "camaro5" afterwards and find multiple threads on any given topic that are helpful.
I try to add in whenever I do something I find worthy of sharing. Sometimes I worry that what I'm sharing is boring, or no one cares, but if nothing else I get to share it since there are realistically no people in my life that will care I changed a strut or painted a LCA or tried a new detail spray haha

Of course these forums are going to slow down though, the car is 10-15 years old depending on when someone bought theirs.

The last 5th Gen was produced 10 years ago.

Be happy the forum is still here.
