2010 2LT with Brembo upgrade

Looks like I am having to repost my thread again because it didn't go through....

I have a 2010 2LT/RS with the Brembo brake upgrade done to it before I purchased the vehicle many years ago. However, seven years ago I replaced the front rotors and pads with AC Delco Zinc plated or UV coated along with Hawks Motorsports pads...

Fast forward I am now hearing a squealing every once in awhile when braking. I examined the front outer pads and rotors on all 4 corners and they look good. Perhaps I need to check the inner pads etc...

I am currently looking on the RockAuto website for front and rear...

BREMBO P100649890631 Premium UV Coated Vented Rotors; With Low-Metallic Pads Front

BREMBO P11024N9A50811 Premium UV Coated Vented Rotors; With NAO Ceramic Pads Rear

I cannot seem to find the AC Delco brand on RockAuto. Is there another source for performance pads such as Hawks that work just as well without having to pay over $150 for either the front or rear pads?

Yeah and it was frustrating! ha! Delete the other thread by all means. I suppose this is what is going to take place no matter how long a member has been on board... the thread needs to be approved first. What has this world come to?

ai bots messing it up for everyone and everything.

To add someone to this thread. Inner pads oddly wear faster than the outter pads. So while you may be able to see the wear indicator on the outter and think you have life left, the inner may tell a different story. The first time I changed the brakes the outter still had life while the inners definitely needed replacing. This time around all the fronts needed replacing but again, inners were worse than the outter.

Try ZZperformance. They were the cheapest for OEM zl1 pads and rotors.

This is good info! I never knew this! I'll pull the wheels off soon and have a look see and go from there. I'm pretty sure the rears need replacing. I do know my rear parking brakes do not engage... I will have to look at that and repair as well.

I just confirmed that it is indeed the rear inner pads that need replacing. I will be replacing the rotors and pads for the rear. However this is the part number that I keep coming up with for the Hawks Performance rear pads...

Hawk Performance Performance Ceramic Brake Pad - HB194Z.570

Is this correct? I just don't understand what is this wire plug for connected to the pads? Never seen this before...

This is the part number I ordered for my 1LE years ago HB194Z.570

I think that was the rear. The other number I ordered is HB7262.582 but I'm pretty sure it's the front. I think I have it written down on my computer so I can double check when I get home

But what is that pig tail wiring for? Makes no sense to me. Never seen this before. My car already had the SS Brembo upgrade kit on it before I purchased it from the previous owner 8 years ago. Pads are pads.. I went ahead and ordered the the blue version HB194F.570. I can return if needed.

Brake pad wear sensor. I don't remember if it actually came with the sensors, and I don't remember if there is sensors back there lol. It was back in 2017. But most of the time those pictures are just representations as well. Check their website for part numbers, they have (had back then) a pretty good website of the different kinds of pads and all the part numbers for them.

If there were sensors, I didn't use them and just used the originals

Thanks for your response and input. This is useful. I will see what happens when I get the blue version pads and if needed will return them. Thanks!

Posted another thread a few hours ago during my rear brake swap... and still hasn't been approved yet jeez! And even though I figured it out and got the job done... it would have been nice to see some response. Is this what it's really going to take from now on? No wonder this site is so slow....

Yeah i been thinking they need new mods to watch for the spam/vendor posts and also post approvals!! As many mods as it looks like they have, should have those issues!
