Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06 plus

So I just ordered some new wheels and I'm thinking about going with these tires. I'm wondering how these hook compared to a low to mid tier summer tire like my current tires Nitto NT555 G2. I'm not really impressed with how the Nittos hook with my mild bolt on power. I don't drive the car in the snow but I do drive it in colder temps and the car is also parked outside during the winter months is why I'm considering an UHP All-Season tire. Any opinions on this tire or other options are welcomed. TIA

I have no personal experience with these tires but they have very good reviews from the people on this bored an others. I would say for a daily driver with some upgrades this would be a fine choice.

I just had these installed with my new rims. Great tire! Quiet and smooth ride. They are great for traction in the wet and dry conditions. I live in Florida , so I can't give any feed back for snow, but the ratings for the tire were high across the board. Not to mention a good tread life.

Prob the most popular Tire used on these cars.
(Continental 315/35ZR-20 on the RH, OEM 15 year old Pirelli with less than 8K miles on the LH in Pic #1)

And they also look good.

Yes definitely a good looking tire, I like the simplicity of the sidewall. I’m getting some quotes locally before I order online

The Conti's are a great tire! I ran them on the front and the rear of my FBO cammed and stalled Camaro for a good while. Nice and quiet, smooth, and hook really good, ran the 315/35/20 on the rear. Now that I went to wider wheels, 10.5 fronts, 11.5 on the rears, I switched to the Michelin's on the rear, 335/30/20, but still have the Conti's on the fronts. Same here with the Nitto 555 G2's, I could never get them to hook up. The Conti's wear very well, they will last.

So if they hook really good with your setup it should be a massive improvement on my car.

Yeah, you will like them. Everyone who did ask me about them, and got a set was happy. I ran mine at 35psi cold, front and back. When they get warmed up good is when they grip the best. No burnouts.. lol.

I'll echo the thoughts about the NT555G2s - they are not bad the first few months when they are in their prime, but they get hard pretty fast, and once they do, they are spin city. The only "good" trade-off is that they seem to last FOREVER despite a lot of abuse.

I'm keen to maybe try the Xtreme Contacts for my next set on my 20x9 square setup - great reviews, and seem to be a really good compromise of all out performance, cold weather tolerance, and wear. Sub'd for more reviews!

Well I was hoping to have my wheels by now and have them installed today, but they was dropped shipped from the manufacturer and didn't ship until Wednesday. Expected delivery is Monday.

Do yourself a favor get some general gmax rs tires. They are a sister company of conti. Best ultra high performance tire for the money by far and if they don't hook no summer tire will, you need drag radials at that point. I run general gmax rs from november to march here in texas and then drag radials the rest of the year.

They make a 305 20 but honestly tire compound matters more than width. Also, if you want an all season gmax as are great too. Run them on my turbo mazda 6.
