Camaro Driver seat pop

I leaned back in my driver's seat and felt a pop in the upper left side of seat. Broken spring? Lumbar support?

I had a similar issue after the initial pop, the seat would drop back under hard acceleration and such. Given the seat was pretty worn-out anyway, I did a search on car-part.com which led me to a seat in really good condition which they shipped to a local junk-yard for $214.

Part of my old Transmission Jack and a 12V battery and my original seat is now a shop chair.

Never heard a pop before from mine, but right in the middle of my back about halfway down the seat will squeak whenever I shift my weight back into it at all. It'll squeak when hitting any kind of bump that causes me to move around much. Not sure how to go about diagnosing that one

Thanks for both replys. I was going to try and access the inside of the seat from the flap behind the seat to see if anything broke, but it seems like a project to get to the zipper to unzip. A mechanic said to leave it alone unless I notice a problem. Crossing my fingers...

Exactly, that's why I chose to skip it. For now, the seat performs as it should so no need to play with it. If anything gets worse, I'll take it to a shop.

Was just thinking, what it might have been was the seat back latch wasn't fully locked in place for some reason, and that time when you leaned back against it, it popped into the fully locked position. Mine sometimes gets stuck locked, and when I need to fold the seat back forward, I have to smack it towards the rear while pulling up on the release tad on the seat back and it releases.. Just a thought.

I think I broke something in my seat. In the middle down towards the bottom doesn't seem to support my back like it used to. I haven't looked closely at it yet, do these things have a lumbar support or something? If so, then I've probably broke mine.
