Hose Re-Route for Vararam Unit

As they are delivered, has any one found a way to give a little extra room between the hoses and the belt/pulleys? I am looking for a way to gain some extra room since my radiator wiggles around about 1/2" - 1" and i can make my hoses touch the pulleys with little effort.

I gave Vararam my word about trying the revised unit out for a week for those that know where I stand on the situation.

For the PCV you can use a longer piece of hose. I've cut the metal tube a bit closer to the engine then used a slightly longer hose to route out and around the pulleys.

Definitely interested in your findings... I'm pretty much thinking exactly down the same lines as you. I don't like the wiggle... seems the rubber blocks don't really address the problem...

Are you asking about the PCV or radiator hose?

Radiator / all hoses between the radiator & belt/pulleys.

For the radiator you can shorten the hose where it connects to the radiator. When Patrick was installing it on my car I asked him about that. Of course he said it was no problem as is, but I still think I might trim an inch off to make a bit more clearance from the pulleys...

Unhappy For such a hyped product?????

Have followed this product for sometime now.I had high hopes for its success. With so many trials and so many errors I don't believe I would want to purchase one and be a Guinea pig for someones product. One that should have gone thru a more rigorous r&d prior to coming to market. One thing after another.Sure wish it had not turned out this way!! :(

I put in a 90 degree elbow there and made up a bracket... plenty of clearance now.

Here's another view...

I might cut the hose a inch , havent had no problem's with it and it's been on a month. I looked at my ls1 4th gen and the top hose is a half inch from the pulleys and no problems there ...

i dont have the vararam but i have the new era otr and had the same problem. mine was about an inch from the PS pulley and for my piece of mind i just cut and inch or so from the top radiator hose and now i have more than enough clearance, and it didnt cost anything. took about 5 minutes.

Months of testing was done and the problem that arose was a sealing issue on a few units but we chose to replace all the first shipment to ensure no problems! We are shipping units to our preorder list and are contacting them to ensure they get the correct unit for their modifications!!

I'll check with autozone what 90 degree hoses they got that I can throw on there like MJ did.

I also cut about 1/2" - 3/4" off the small hose at the radiator cap, giving me a little extra room as well.
