Anybody have a carfax for me ...?
Greetings ...
I'm hoping someone might have and be willing to run a carfax for me vin# 2G1FK1EJ5A9179793 I bought this camaro new a week and a half ago and not only have I been experiencing mechanical troubles ... my front bumper is no aligned appropriately Where the front side markers are the bumper is lined up overlapping, it's a touch off on the other side as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm having one of the tougher weeks I've had already and this just complicates things even more ... thanks again. |

Not sure what a Carfax will show?? It's a new vehicle so there will not be much of anything at all.
What mechanical problems are you having? As for the bumper alignment just stop by the dealership and see what they can do for you. |

i figured it's probable it's like that from the factory, I had a 2009 trailblazer ss like that with 4 miles on it ... i read a story about one guy though, bought a new 2ss, carfaxed it after seeing paintwork had been done and it had been crashed .. go figure
figured i'd check it out to be safe if i could ... I agree though, not too sure what a carfax would show aside form probably nothing but i've seen crazier as for mechanical it's getting checked out ...some quite clunking from the rear end, you can feel it too ... happens after everytime i stop pretty much also the transmission shifts funny and has made some funny actions, and sounds ... I'm not happy ... although, i must admit, an injured 5th gen is better than none at all I hate to admit it but i was still smiling when the flatbed took her away (lol) however, it is a serious matter ... anyway thanks for the input, even if it's not much i appreciate you taking the time |

Yea, sorry I can't help yo with the Carfax.
As for the clunk in the rear, I know there is an issue with a cluck that has to do with adding a washer to the rear wheels drive shafts. But thats more of a clunk going from reverse to drive or on hard excel. And for the trans. I know that the new "6 speeds" do fell and sound alot different then the normal trans. But I hope all gets fixed for you . |

I ALWAYS get a carfax even on a "brand new" car. I had an 09 Lincoln MKS before the Camaro with 90 miles on it and the carfax checked out, but on closer inspection body work had been done to the back bumper - carfax only gets an accident report if there's a police report/insurance claim. Dealerships can hide damage easily... as for the bumper overlap, there's a slight overlap on both sides where my front bumper meets the sheet metal, it's definitely from the factory so I wouldn't be concerned.
