Not a Camaro, but still need help.

My dad and I have been interested in getting a firebird, he just loves the look of the first generation tail lights. He used to have a 1979 z28 with every option imaginable back in the day, but sadly it is probably a pancake by now

We found a 1968 coupe that runs, but needs paint. What are some things that we should look out for? This isn't the first older car we have bought so we know a thing or two about rust. We haven't owned a GM car in.... 25 years?

The asking price is $4500, what do you guys think?

Cancer. Everything else is expendable, unless it's a numbers-matching car. Then you want to make sure as much as possible is salvageable, but for 4500, I'm betting that's not gonna be an issue. In all honesty- especially for resto-mods, the body is the most important part. The beauty of GM cars is that you can find cheaper, better replacements for everything else in the aftermarket. Good luck, keep us updated!

doesnt sound like TOO bad a price, if there isnt a whole lot of rust that is. from the4 pic, it doesnt look half bad. if youve got the money, and know the kinda money ur gonna have to spend on the resto, i say go for it! good luck!
