i did the install over the winter and took her out for the 1st drive. my wife and i noticed a burning rubber smell for a few minutes after we stopped both times.

just wondering if this is substance that needs to "burn off" the system?

also, i zip tied the o2 sensor harnesses away from the headers too.

whats that setup sound like, is the exhaust raspy like all the videos that are out there

i wouldn't call it "raspy". it's got a nice low rumble at idle but when you floor it, it's like open headers.

the greatest part is when ur cruising, it's silent.......just a quiet rumble that you cant hear inside the car.

Good explanation... I just added ARH to my Corsa Catback. Totally quiet inside... Zero Drone. and it does sound just like open pipes when you get on it. Very loud at WOT... very agressive sound. Love it...

be very leary of video and sound clips. keep in mind camera position in relation to exhaust tips. some are head level while some are at tip level.

Agreed! I've heard the same G6X3 Cam clip three times on the same equipped car. It almost always sounds different! Cameras and angles do play a critical role.

It's almost like you need to hear things in person.

It's tough to duplicate on video. I have a HD camcorder and did a Borla v Corsa before and after headers. (4 total videos) and was going to put them all together for comparison but the sound from no headers to with headers seems almost exactly the same. So I just scrapped that idea.

In person is just best...

Every time I installed coated long tube headers on all my cars there was a burning smell for a few miles. I wouldnt call it a burning rubber smell but a burning smell all the same.

The burning smell is from the coating "curing", and the chemicals burning off the exhaust. Have fun!
