For those of you trying to get rid of decel popping, I have a solution.

Grow a pair.

j/k

I just had my mufflers deleted last night and it friggin sounds awesome, decel popping included. Like a REAL muscle car, not some pussified bullshit.

My only concern is, when I delete the rear cat, replace the H pipe with a Magnaflow resonated X pipe, and delete the stock resonators....is it going to sound louder or for some reason is it going to be softer? I don't want it to sound any less loud...if it does...can't do it.

Ahhhhhh the real muscle car aficionados are joining in!
Lol

it should get a little louder and change your tone a little bit cause of the X pipe. You should be pleased non the less!

It's still going to have that deep bubububububub sound right? Still going to sound like a fighter jet when I start it up right?

I just had my mufflers and factory resonator removed this week. Installed a resonated x-pipe and is sounds very good. Poor man's way of spending a few hundred dollars versus a $1000 system. I'd still like to purchase a nice, polished, stainless steel system in the future.

If you remove the secondary cats, it will be louder.

Every now and then, I have to drive my wife's Mustang GT. When I do, I miss the power and the decel popping ... I cant wait to get back in mine

I have all of that done to mine including the rear cat delete. It's not that loud at all. The rear cat delete did make it a little louder but not by much. I would recommend doing it...especially if your going to go with the resonated x-pipe (which should give it a deeper tone).

I have videos and driveby stuff in my thread

Ever hear a 69 Z28 with 11 to 1 compression with just cherry bombs for mufflers? Music to my ears.

I have gone on 45min+ drives like that, I get awful gas mileage when I'm playing with exhaust.

i had the muffler delete first then went and did the true x, and res delete...the difference...i would say is maybe a deeper sound, i would best describe it as a more refined sound to the exhaust. its certainly not quieter, and i would say there may MAY be slightly less popping , but at other times it seems the same. go for it, you will like it!
