ordered PDIM

i just ordered a PDIM for my car.
Does anybody have an idea of how much the dealership charges to install?

Did anybody buy it after the car?

I installed mine, and the dealer charged me about $95.00 to 'activate it'.

cajun, I would suggest installing the part yourself. it should not take more than 40 - 50 minutes. my local dealer charged $46 to program the radio to recognize the PDIM after I installed it.

I got an installed quote of $240 at my dealer. Might just do what Iwantone2 said and have them just do the programming though.

Dang, their hourly rates must be through the roof! The dealer that I went to has an hourly rate of $92, but they were cool enough to charge half of that since they know that programming shouldn't take that long (it took 20 minutes on my car).

Ask them if they have the latest software on their MDI tool. My dealer had the same issue where the car would not take the update but then they updated the software on their MDI tool and then it worked.
