When to contact dealers with no list?

The dealer I plan on buying from has no list, and was wondering when to call them up and try to send in options and such so I can be sure to be in the first allotment? Would that be on the 13th, or sometime between the 10th and 13th after their IDL or what? Thanks for any info!

They have no list yet or aren't going to have a list? Maybe you can be #1 on their list. That will get you in first allotment. Otherwise find another dealer or wait till they have Camaros on the lot.

They are not doing a list - its a first come first serve thing so not knowing how many others want to buy from this dealer and how bad they want the car I wanted to talk to a salesman asap. Well actually I have already talked to a salesman that I like and my family has bought a car (Malibu) from him in the past and we really like him. So was wondering what would be the earliest date I could contact him and expect him to have order sheets ready for me to fill out/me to pay some type of down payment?

If they're anything like my local dealer, they won't be accepting any orders until they have at least a couple on their lot. They also admitted I won't be getting one (at least from them, and they don't believe from ANY dealer) at MSRP for the first 2 or 3 months at least...

One of the first dealers I emailed said they would be selling the Camaro at MSRP when they first come out.

I would expect that you could place an order from them on the 13th, after they get all their info.

Also, there is a thread on MSRP or below dealers and plenty of dealers are on there that have promised to see the Camaro for MSRP from the start

Oh, I know. I'm just stating what the dealership believes.

Unfortunately, I've eMailed a couple other dealers nearby and haven't heard anything back...

Becarful with a dealer that says first come first served. They are the ones usualy have some kind of "market adjustment'' aka over MSRP. What they really are trying to say is how much are you willing to pay over the next person.

Finnegan on Hwy 59 near Rosenberg has no list yet. They told me I could be #1 yesterday. But they require a $1000 deposit and they are going to add $10k to MSRP. I told them "no thanks"

Did you put them on the "Price Gouging Dealers" thread?
