Does anyone have experience adding throttle body spacers? Are there any gains to be had installing them? I have seen claimed gains of 18hp and 4mpg?? Airaid has one that looks to be a straight through kit for $140. I did not find any claimed gains by Airaid, but I just don't see how a TB spacer can povide those gains?

they make an annoying whistling sound that sounds like a worn auxillary belt... that is about it. they're a gimmick!

Does the Fast LSXR manifold and Fast Throttle body give good gains??

throttle body spacers are more for single plane intakes

don't waste your time

engines are your friend

and they are really only beneficial to highly modified engines with performance head/cams. not much gain after a tune on a stock engine.

not even not so much there either. Look up the comparisons between a ported ls3 intake and a fast. you will be surprised.

So with CAI, LT Heads, and 3" back, would it be of any value ? I know smoothing the airflow out helps, so maybe an HP or two?

Even if that were the case, you don't feel one or two extra horses and they'll do next to nothing at the track.

NO! Pointless, a ported throttle body would give you some gains, but spacers don't do anything, they are a spacer, simple as that!

Well, I did waste my time and $$ and all I got was a whistle (which I enjoyed) Off idle starts seemed to have a lack of power, so I took it off last night. I have the Airraid CAI and the Poweraid spacer.

i only used one once on an fj cruiser... i had to cause the TRD intake i had kept slipping off. I only used it as a spacer, not for gains
