Track Day @ Willow Springs May 12th
I am going to Willow Springs on May 12th with Open Track Racing http://www.opentrackracing.com . Just wondering if anyone else in the forums will be there. Gonna test out my Pedders Track II suspension that was installed a couple months ago. And its the "Big Track" you will be signing up for. I'm doing the beginners heat with an instructor. I've done Streets of Willow plenty of times on my motorsickle, first time in a cage, I mean car for the track. Let me know, PM me or can get a hold of me on www.facebook.com/disgruntle.employee or www.myspace.com/disgruntleemployee

Track day still on and hopefully Mike Haddad will join us for it. Testing the Pedders Track II and Forgeline wheel combo to the test. If Mike goes, he will bring video equipment and hopefully come out with great footage for all to see. I will post the track pictures on this link.

Love the Big Track - love the Streets too! Done most of the tracks there, with the motorcycles. Only been on The Streets with the Camaro - what a blast! Blew all the little Celica race cars away!
![]() Pictures when done! If I weren't going to Stillen that day to get the last of the suspension done, I'd consider it

Its going to be fun. I already ran into a situation on tires. Since I'm running 295/35/20 on all four corners. Aggressive driving on the streets resulted in tire side walls being cut by front inner fender lip. People running larger fronts tires 295 and above need to "crimp" the inner fender lips inwards. I'll get the front camber setting soon, but we are going to adjust just a tad to eleminate this problem. But there's nothing wrong with any rub/cuts on the rear tires. Pedders suggest setting 16 for aggressive street for front. I went 22 with for right now and when we go to the track may go 26+ and maybe 21 or 22 in the rear. Hopefully Haddad Motorsports shows up so can play with Track setup/settings. Keep you peeps posted for final results.

I run 16/19 for daily driving on my car and love it. If you get a chance, would you mind driving a few laps on those settings, then turning it up to describe the difference?
Thanks and have fun! |

No prob, I ran a similiar setting on Palomar Mtn, had no issues. When you guys get a chance run your finger under the front fender lip. Over time aggressive street driving, the front tires start to rub and sharpening that edge. Thats where the sidewall cutting happens. I had to carefully "crimp" the front fender lip almost completely back. I'll take a pictures of the primitive tools and measurements/dimensions. Its takes some time, a lot of careful pressing. You have to apply pressure from the outside (palm of hand) and inside(round 3/8" round bar w/duct tape around it) at the same time for it not to deform the front fender lip. You have to do it several times just to get it right and not damage your front fender lip. I'll take some pictures this morning when I put it on a lift and post in 2 days

Mindz, I wouldn't run that setting on any track. Depends on tires, wheel dimensions and what not. I'm running 20x10.5 with 295/35/20 on all fours and it didn't do all to well with that settings. It was almost ended bad in many turns in that settings. Even when that front end is stiff, the rear end wants to come around. I went with 24clicks up front with 19clicks in the rear. Just need to stiffen the rear end with a track bar adjustment.
