Exhast questions, whats the real difference?
I am ready for exhast, just not sure which yet. What is the big difference in sound or performance or whatever from the cat back or the axle back or just having the muffler shop weld me on some new mufflers? whats the best way to go cause ive seen some of the kits for around 700 to a thousand. Kinda seems like alot. Help me out

I'd like to know aswell.
I've read/heard that for the V6, the SLP loudmouth I sounds really loud and good, which is what i'm interested in, unless there is a better one out there for sound + performance! |

That is my recommendation. There are a gizallion threads on the V6 forum side that have great info. Start by looking here http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33104

Loud mouth I is just straight pipes w/ tips.
probably cheaper to go to your local exhaust shop for that. but you can listen here.... I know it alwys sounds diff. in person but this will give you an Idea. sound clips on the slp site: http://www.slponline.com/browse_list.asp I am thinking of the loudmouth II or Flowmasters or just staying stock, the more i drive it the better it sounds to me, but the stock mufflers sure are butt ugly, good thing they are at the under butt of the car But i also agree w/ devildoc there are tons of threads open for the V6 exhaust w/ tons of links that will point you in the right direction.

Where is it that so many people seem to be hearing that the Loudmouth 1 sounds so good? I mean yeah...its all personal opinion but its basically a muffler delete and sounds terrible in my opinion...and OVERLY loud.
There was a thread on here not long ago where someone had it installed and they couldn't wait to get it off. As others have pointed out...look at the exhausts sticky thread and give yourself plenty of time to research the ones you are interested in. Catback does not necessarily mean better sound on this car, or deeper tone. Some do perform a bit better than others...but none of them are drastic changes. Go for the ones that you think sound the best, and look the best. Videos don't do most of them justice, but if your like me, its all you have to go on.
