You better never eat or drink anything mass-produced then, or you'll be sorely disappointed.

In mass-produced goods, it's simply not possible to inspect every single unit that is made. (Hence the 97% thing with condoms).

The production process, shipping process and storing process introduces the possibility of contamination at every stage of a product's lifespan.

If you will never buy a capri sun simply because one person 'might' have found 'something' in theirs... you'd better never buy mass-produced anything ever again.

Exactly. It's always funny to see how naive people are to what they eat (and don't even know it). If anyone wants a "fun" read, check out the FDA's Defect Levels Handbook, which shows the acceptable levels of contaminents in everything you eat. Have a nice day!

when I stick the straw in them I put it in my mouth so none flies all over the room after it punctures the straw hole....that wouldn't be a plesent taste I'm sure.

90% of the time if a perishable product goes bad it's because of the way the product was handled at the store, and isn't the fault of the manufacturer
I work at a milk processing plant and they post all of the customer complaints for each week. After reading them you know some are BS, and some are perfectly explainable.
Example: someone said they found a pill in their orange juice....pretty sure thats acidic and the pill never would have survived the 6 days from production date and the date the pill was found....turned out someone in their house took that medicine and drank from the jug and thats where it came from.
Example of the other way: someone sent in some funny looking red paperlike stuff in their cottage cheese...after alot of searching it was found that the chemicals used to clean a plastic pipe section (used for metal detection purposes) was creating a film in the pipe and it broke off....simple fix, replace pipe with a different kind....also all cultured items now pass through an x-ray machine to look for foreign contaminants
