Android EVO phone in Camaro rocks

I previously used an ipod with the usb and it worked great. When I got my new phone I pluged its usb cable in just to charge it and I was surprised with Android Device on the radio. Accesses all the mp3 files just like the ipod. Then I set up the bluetooth music and it works great. Why use xm that cuts out all the time when I can stream Pandora or shoutcast... oh, and it makes decent phonecalls too.

When my XM trial runs out I plan to just stream 80's Hair Bands on AOL music from my iPhone 3GS (iPhone 4 next week). No need for XM there's enough free internet music out there.

I have the HTC Evo in my car, and it works great. I use the bluetooth most of the time.

At first I couldn't change the songs from the steering wheel, but after a little research I found out that the builtin player didn't handle the bluetooth commands right. I now use the free doubletwist player, and it works great.

I find the quality with the Bluetooth just OK. If you want better sound stick with the usb for the mp3 files or a simple aux cable.

While I agree that bluetooth isn't the greatest quality, sometime I just want to hop in an go (maybe listen to a tech podcast or something, short ride to the store, etc) and then it's just fine. Now if I want to go for a ride, then I care about the quality. Just depends on what I'm doing.

Doubletwist for streaming and the auto mount widget for USB are great options for Android.

i think it works terrible (at least for me)...my music is stored on my SD card on the phone and when i plug it in the usb, the phone has 4 options: just charge, sync or something like that, or charge and access card, and some other thing.

Anyways, i connect it and it starts playing files on my SD card but i cant control the songs on the steering wheel controls OR the actual stereo knobs. I have to listen to the entire song before it changes songs...SUCKS! anyone can help?

I have the HTC Evo as well. Can you listen to Pandora through the usb cable or bluetooth only?
