new wheels.....shop damaged car!

Getting my new wheels put-on today.....stopped back a little early to check on stuff and found that they lifted the car by the rockers! 3 of the four corners are bent or scratched....I quickly took pictures of how they had it lifted....went to the manager untold him I was pi$$ed and he has the ball$ to tell me, " that's the only way to lift it". I am waiting for it to get off of the lift to see how much damage there is......he is acting like this is an everyday oxcurrence! I'm just livid!

Here are the pics from just one corner of the vehicle.....ARGH!

When I had my C6 Vette I always used to keep jacking pucks in the rear storage compartment. The only safe way to lift the car was to use the pucks. Was hoping the Camaro wouldn't have this issue. I haven't crawled under mine to see where the lift points are and if they adequately clear the rocker panels.

Does anyone know if they make jacking pucks for the C5 Camaro?

Wow man... glad you have pics, very glad you have pics. I'd be absolutely livid. If they aren't willing to help I'd take it to another establishment and get a quote for the damages and bring it and the pics back to the offending shop.

Not sure but on a suggestion from this forum I went to a local used sports equipment store and bought 4 used hockey pucks for $.59 a piece.

Never had any reason for pucks on my C5 or my C6s.

I have my own lift.

All the more reason to do everything you can yourself. The less people who touch your car the less chance of them screwing it up. Especially at tire places. They usually hire any idiot 18 year old who doesn't know much more than how to work an impact gun. I hope they didn't damage it to much. Make sure and put the screws to them!

I'll end up using them between my jack stands and the frame of the car when I put her up for the winter as well.
