MRT V2 Issues
I had the MRT V2 installed last month. Overall the sound is pretty good. It has a nice deep tone and certainly makes the car a lot more mean. However the drone is pretty rough, it makes you very aware whenever you give it the least amount of gas. Some people may like this, but it's a little much for me. Also, the backseat vibrates noticeably. I have seen other people are buying the Fatmat or using stuff from Lowe's. Is there one product that would help reduce the drone as well as stop the interior vibration?

However if you can't live with the drone I would suggest going back to stock. I had the V1.0 and it sounded to me like a muffler delete from youtube videos. After 3,000 miles of headaches and being a nuisance in the neighborhood I switched back to the stock exhaust and couldn't be more happy. I tried some insulation in the trunk but it didn't help and I wasn't going to spend hundreds of dollars on pricey sound proof material. Good luck. |

I haven't had much of a problem with droning, but my seat does vibrate at times. Might I suggest some music playing to drown out the drone?

I have the same drone issue with mine. I have had them on for a week. I have adapted to them some. Heres hoping that I will gete even more use to it. I drive alot on the highway and at 70 mph and 2000 rpm, the drone is quite noticable and bothersome. No I dont want to go back to stock, but I am beginning to wonder if I should have went with the Corsa. Time will tell. Just thought I would put in a different opinion. Several people have reported that there was no drone at all and these most definenitly have a drone. I wonder if I was shipped V1 exhaust by mistake?? Anyone know if there is a quick way to tell the differerence? Or, could has MRT done something different in their manufacuring process that would cause a drone now as compared to earlier V2's??

v2's are bigger v1's are smaller. after driving around 1,000 miles on the v1's I think they have settled down a little much nicer then when I first got them.
check your clamps also I had one come loose sounded horrible.

The thing is drone is very subjective... Where you hear drone, others may not... I think you'll find that true with most all after market exhausts...
Ver 1 uses Aeroturbine resonators and aeroturbine is stamped on them... __________________ I fully agree on the "subjective" part. That is why I thought it was a good idea to provide a different point of view. Never said right or wrong, just different.

I will continue to keep an eye on this Thread.
I am looking to upgrade my exhaust soon.![]() I want it to be louder than stock, but I don't want to deal with a drone, especially on long drives.
