We haven't used a dyno yet, so these are GM-provided flywheel numbers.

The car will have enough power to let you learn to drive the stick. I don't think you will have as much trouble as you think. My little girl starting driving a stick when she was 7 yrs old on my farm and it was a little Ranger with a 4.0 and she never stalled it at all.

also comes down to traffic...if your in bumper to bumper on a daily basis for long periods of time thats game over, automatic would win for just sheer ease...

but some people think a racing car isnt a racing car without a stick shift; i wish i was taught a stick but no one will let me learn on their car...wonder why id pay 30k to learn on my own :(

thats awesome man.. really!
tell your little girl she just motivated me to buy a 6 speed! (seriously)
and like ur saying about the car having enough power , my buddy was saying newer cars that are manual are a little bit easier to drive nowadays compared to an old school ride..
and plus i dont want to be kicking my self in the ass when this L99 ends up having a bunch of bugs.. lol (maybe?) and i have a feeling the LS3 might end up haveing more selection on aftermarket bolt ons in the future just a hunch..
i think im gonna go with the manual.,, and "dump the clutch" when i leave the dealer ship in my brand new Orange 2SS/RS with the sunroof open...

(just playin' about dumpin the clutch)

Check the reports of stick vs the 6 speed auto. This auto is faster to 60 and the quarter mile.
Plus, if you ever get stuck in a long traffic line, bumper to bumper, you would love to have an auto.

Minor "Recommended" Wiki Updates - All my opinion, feel free to ignore.

"Electical System" I think is mispelled "Electrical System", I think that is what is meant.
"Exterior/Physical" Is the LS really heavier than the LT? Possible correction needed.
"Timeline" If you are going to the trouble to mention the 1 month delay, why not add a January 9, 2009 entry that says when the delay was announced?

Recommended additions:
"Wheel / Tires" - Can we add a link/Column to the "RS package" wheels? Both LT and SS would be helpful.
"Colors" - This is a pandora's box. Why not include actual photos? Why not add interior/seat colors as well? Why not include pinstriping options?
"Pricing / Ordering" - There is a new GM 2009 Performance Parts catalog with a new Camaro section. Why not add this link as well?
Where's the section with MPG ratings? There is a blank Forced Induction section?
"Audio / Vid" section needs to be expanded - Although the information is already included in each model's Standard Equipment and options, since you opted for this section, you might was well include the cruise control/bluetooth/guages info, etc. And probably the "standard audio" if known.

We'll look into those suggestions for editing and improving out Wiki. Thanks for the input!

One thing, though. The LS really is heavier than the LT due to the steel wheels, mostly.

is it really the wheels? i didn't know they were that much heavier!

and, with the LS, is the auto really lighter than the manual? it's the other way around on the LT & SS trims.
