Bought a Meguiars Dual Action polisher today
 

It was on for $199 and came with a back plate and two pads. Was going to get PC xp7425 , but this came with two pads

Now I need clay and cut/polish. I will practice on my 2005 PT turbo before the camaro!

That's not really that good of a good deal. Not sure if shipping to Canada would add more to the price. Also not sure of the difference between Canadian and US $$.

The difference in money isn't the problem, it's import duties and taxes that make everything or about everything in Canada cost more.

Canada is a great place to live but it comes at a high price, if you're a beer drinker you'll find out real soon what it cost to live in Canada.

Bingo. Whenever im in the US I top up on meguiars gold class car wash. Always seem to get them on sale at target for $5 or less. Here I pay $20.

Im thinking about getting this buffer package.I have never had one(or a nice car)and am nervous that it will actually put swirls in the paint from all the buffing.My paint is perfect,and just looking for a better/easier way to make her shine.What info do you guys have? You won't put swirls into your car unless you are using a compound or using really bad technique.

As far as getting the Griot's Garage, great choice! Best entry level polisher hands down.

Their polishes don't have much acclaim to them, but I tell you what will work if you make your own kit.

You're looking at probably 30 dollars more than the kit you listed, but I can pretty much guarantee this will work on your Camaro and will be much easier than the Griot's stuff you will get in the package deal.

If Lake Country 6" pads are anything like there 3" pads I'd pass, I use the CG Hex-Logic pads and found them much better then the Lake Country pads. JMO

Which kind? There are 4 different kinds.

I recommended the flat which are the cheapest and work very well.

There are also hydrotech, ccs, and waverunner or something similar.

I dislike ccs.

I like hydrotech.

I've never used the wave one.

eUber pads are great. Then again Buff and Shine make most of these companies pads. Just head over to Autoality and pick up a 6 pack of buff and shine 5.5" pads or 2 meg's Microfiber pads.

Oh I don't know if your credit card has a price match but Amazon had this on their gold box deal today for $135. Mine does if it's a difference of more than $25.

I've never used a CCS for polishing but it seems like a bad idea. It seems like it would hold on to product too long in those pockets, especially polishes you need to work until flashing.

I have looked at the Porter Cable 7425XP, and the Meguiars and was leaning towards the PC versus the Meguiars from opinions and experience that members have suggested was user friendly and the quality? The biggest drawback is getting the pads locally in my area.

Go with the Griots 6".
