Windows dipped?
Any Canadians or North/South Dakotans (or anyone really) know any good places to get windows dipped? Tint wise... the only way to beat the law, is to have "factory" tinted windows... so if GM doesn't do it (which they won't, and haven't for awhile) i need some place that will dip the windows to tint them!
Any and all help/comments is appreciated! |
Normally only the glass makers do that as far as I know.
Is there a total ban where you live or what is the limit? |
Limit is factory on the windows directly left and right of the driver (which is the only ones i need dipped). Behind the driver, any level is legal.

Ive never heard of that before. How would that even make it legal? I can just see them towing your car.

What's the difference between dipped and tinted?

Last time I looked, factory tint was built into the glass when it is made, not just dipped and covered on the outside of the glass?? |

regular tinting is a plastic film that is glued to the window. |
Dipped? Still doesn't sound like that would all of a sudden make it legal since it is still not "factory" tint...:iono:

I think you're still taking a risk of getting tickets with the dipping. Especially when more Camaros come out. They'll see that's it's not something from the factory.
You could get out of it if you had a medical reason for needing tinted windows: http://public.findlaw.com/traffic-ti...ws-basics.html |
I just have one question for you...Are you seriously going to dismantle the interior and doors to take all 4 side windows and the rear window out of a brand new car, get them dipped, and then put it all back together well enough that none of the seals leak?
Best of luck to you! |
