Anyone try this system yet. They look great. I just received a set and was wondering what everyone thought. They are on sale for $777.

Stop it, stop it, stop it!!!! It's so tempting! Please someone get these damn things installed and dyno tested so I can justifying cutting a check and inevitably killed by my wife. Totally worth it in my opinion. :mad0259:

well , imo, the company itself is part of ss autochrome.. somehow..worse company reviews imaginable...but aside from that ..exhaust review, looks decent .. ..also no cats......and i,m betting that mufflers will run on the loud side....personally i spent 1850 for the kooks -hi flow cats and a quality magnaflow 3inch with xpipe exhaust...add 350 for cats and your up to 1127.00..you saved 720 above what i spent for a kooks heaeder system with 3in magnaflow cat back....so $$$ wise your ahead of the game...if exhaust isn,t to loud and you get serious drone after the 1500-2000 mile muffler break in..that will have to tale of the tape..i,m pretty sure it is not a 3inch exhaust , also if you need toswap out mufflers and tips down the road... cost savings will be minimal..good luck and waiting to see results 3-6 months out...kooks and magnaflows are proven...so you the guinea pig...get them put on already..also i,m not bashing saying negative...just pointing out things that others need to consider, who are on fence and want to get as much insight as possible...mufflers need proper break in b4 you can compare sound...so posting sound clips 2 days after install won,t work,,, need at least 1k miles to break in...flowmasters ,magnaflow, cherrybomb, spent decades designing researching mufflers...so don,t forget these are also no name mufflers..so sound after break in is unknown..

I looked at that system but with no cats I decided that I might as well stay with what I got.

Is the assembly for this product performed in NC? I remember reading that somewhere.

+1

Is this XS power the same XS power from the tuner cars?? :iono:

xxlbeerz 12-03-2010 09:49 AM

From what I gather, it seems that in recent history, XS Power has improved. I can find a lot of complaints from 2003-2007/8 (mostly about turbo parts), but after that most everyone seems satisfied. I found a bunch of pics of 2 and 3 year old exhausts and they don't rust out. :iono:

Looking at the Corvette forums, users seem to like them. People also have decent luck on LS1tech (one complaint I found). Looking at transactions, they must have many thousands of parts/systems out there.

Are they copies? Are they really made in NC? I don't know, never found proof they weren't.

I probably wouldn't buy the turbo parts, but the exhausts seem okay.

I will be getting my car tuned soon I just will not have before numbers.
