Engine bay turbo?
Has anyone produced a engine by mounted turbo? Ive seen the STS rear mounted kit but I want something you can see for car shows etc. If I want to pay $6,000 for a kit I want power and also for it to be seen. Any help would be appriciated!

There was one at SEMA, but don't think it ran. You would need custom manifolds and probably have to go with small-frame turbos, so I'm guessing that is why no one has gone that route for a kit.

the only one anywhere close to that is Adkins turbo that there building right now but its underneath the engine bay than on top

Ok thanks guys, Yea I talked to Will from Adkins about being the firstone for their supercharger kit. The only problem is that I have seen a few big companies attempt the project but never produce it for some reason. I dont have a whole lot of money to throw around if something were to go wrong either.

what size of turbos you think those are?

They never got the car running right from what I have read....
If you want a single engine bay turbo look up Victory Racing in MI. They have some wicked stuff and already have completed engine bay mounted turbo's for the SS and talk to Eric.... |

:w00t: Start a thread when it get's started. One word of advice. Don't be like the owner of that car and put "form" (looks) over function. Doubling the power of a car is best done conservatively. |

lol sucks that it dont run of course but yes thats something that im looking for just not do any damage to the car or melt any brand new turbo's or anything else under the hood, that looks awesome though for car shows but if it were functional would still lay down plenty of hp for me. Just enough to sucker the mustang guys around here lol. If someone finds a kit like this but functional please drop a link and thanks Orange5thgen ill check out Victory Racing.
