Increased/smoother air flow. Won't see much, if any, gain unless your going with a super/Turbo charger.

On a stock engine or even with bolt ons the FAST 102 is a waste of time. With an aggressive heads/cam combo or a supercharger you'll see some gains though.

LMR did a cammed camaro that put out 461rwhp. Then they added the FAST intake and 102 throttle body. Then it put out 475rwhp. If you think $1400-1500 in parts is worth 15 rwhp then go for it. I personnally would put that money towards a s/c for the future.

BTW on a stock engine there's pretty much no gain:facepalm:

If you ain't moving alot of air there is no need to waste your money on the intake

Our testing has shown 5RW on a NA setup, 20RW+ on a FI setup
I would stick with the LS3 intake

with cam and heads it's worth it

I have seen that intake LOOSE RWHP and TQ on full bolt on cars. On one car I even read where the car lost power on a heads and cam car and that was a stage 2 cam and very high flow Mast Black Label heads. Other than a Centri supercharger set up or Turbo build I think that Intake is a waste of money. It might work on a NA motor but probably only see worthy gains on 416+CI and big nasty cams with alot of head work.

Feel free to throw rocks at me, but it seems a little backwards that you want a part before you know what it does, right? Unless you have a great deal on it, like too good to pass up, someone giving it to you....

Just my opinion of course!

If he knew how the mechanics worked in regards to the part he was looking at then he wouldn't have asked the question.

Would it kill people to be decent on here?

I mean **** look at me.
I just did
full CraneCam Rockers, valve springs, retainers, compcams custom grind cam.
headers, intake, exhaust, custom tune. and several other small things.
push rods.. ect ect ect.

Want some fun facts?
I know sweet **** all about the mechanics behind the parts, but thats why I rely on the honesty and the education provided to me at the performance shop I use for my mods.

pfft
You buy a really good laundry machine, do you know it works?

Seriously people.. the forum is for information, to ask, to answer.. if you cant be pleasant or tactful, browse to a new site?

There is no need for you to be nasty with me....I said, quite honestly and plainly, that it just seems backwards to want something before you know what it does....
Its like saying you want to upgrade your Cisco ASA firewall with the security plus license, but by the way, what does that license do?
It's not like "i want this goal, or this feature, does this part do that?"

For a stock cam setup that's still NA, it's not worth it. The cathedral port 102 actually works on the LS2 cars, but the LS3 cars don't leave much to be gained.

I'm only doing a FAST 102 on my cammed LS7 to try and inch over 600whp... it's ultimately not a mod that's "money well spent" unless you're really trying to squeeze everything from a setup. If you are seeing your manifold pressure drop more than 1-2 kPa during wide open throttle, then you could probably benefit from the larger plenum volume.
