I'm a lot more interested in the all-new 2010 Charger. Wonder if they will still keep the 4-door setup?

not sure if you saw this a_username. 4 doors still but looks similar to the 1999 concept.

Looks nice, but why oh why keep 4 doors ???

Probably change up the interior and get a new v6

I'll be lookin at that little 500 when it comes out...

Their Charger hit's the Sedan market... if they were to make ANOTHER coupe to go along with the Challenger (judging by the attention it has received through concepts) it'd be the Cuda.

Meh, refresh doesn't mean anything big. Probably some colors, some standard features adjustments, and some slight styling cues on the front and rear...

The "refresh" was in 2010, which brought a new skin...unless I missed something...

As for the Challenger...it's too bad they didn't do it right the first time. I'm interested to see what happens in this "refresh".....

I drove buy two dodge dealers today and wow. They have nothing on the lots. They better do something faster than this plan or they will be gone. The truck, jeeps , and the charger,300, challenger platform are the only things they got. The rest is worthless. And, face it the charger platform is an old out dated mercedes sl platform.

So what would you call them changing nothing but an engine and transmission....?

:word: To the Challenger Part. If they want to compete that R/T better put down 400hp, and the SRT 450+ hp.

If I had to guess on engines, it's going to be more along the lines of wiping out the SRT, and they will have a fuel efficient yet powerful v6, and one gas guzzling v8. Remember, these plans have to be approved by the government, and they aren't going to approve of two 400+hp v8 engines...

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there lol

It'd be better if they could employ some sort of weight saving technique but it'd be too expensive, they'd need a whole new platform

MrIcky 11-05-2009 10:49 AM

If you read the whole plan, you'll see that the 5.7 is on the board until 2014. However it is being upgraded to multi-air. They're already at 390hp in the ram so I'd say 400 wouldn't be an issue. Getting these approved by the government won't be an issue IMHO because they are keeping the volume low while introducing higher volume a and b segment cars. The government has told them they need to get serious on the electric vehicle though.
