My LCAs for Smaller Diameter/more rear spacing wheels
I've been messing with this project in my spare time which I have not had alot of recently. Finally the finished product is on the car.
When I first wanted to tackle this project I was trying to design a nice LCA to work with the stock style shock. I didnt really like it. Thanks to Brett from BMR for kick starting my brain into not over thinking stuff, I decided to go with a different length shock which made the control arm MUCH easier to build. Plus it opened up a large array of choices in shocks. I chose the Ride Tech Triple Adjustable coilovers:D http://www.horsepowerjunkies.com/gal...0/IMAG0131.jpg http://www.horsepowerjunkies.com/gal...a/500/LCA1.jpg Coilover Resevoir http://www.horsepowerjunkies.com/gal...a/500/Can2.jpg http://www.horsepowerjunkies.com/gal...a/500/Can1.jpg Special Thanks to my good friend Tim Bradham at TBC Race Cars in Fayetteville, NC for use of his equipment and facilities. And the beers I took from the fridge :) |
Very Nice are you able to use 15" wheels

I have some V6 brakes which will work with a 16", but may keep the brembos on there and run a wide 17" with a Big DR. Havn't decided yet. Just depends how much rear spacing/tire I can fit in the stock wheel well and if I can decide on using a radial over a bias ply. |
Looks AWESOME Squintz, very professional!!!! If you're not careful, you're going to have a large group of people knocking on your door wanting you to make some for them too!!! Are those your own custom trailing arms too? Congratulations, looks like a success to me!!!

I would love to build these for anyone who wants them. Unfortunately I just dont have the time to devote to it. I also had to modify the stock upper shock mounts to make these shocks work. They are spherical bearing mounts both top and bottom. This way I can mount them shaft down for less unsprung weight. I have a pic around here somwhere of the upper mount. Lemme dig it up. Edit: Here it is http://www.horsepowerjunkies.com/gal...0/IMAG0125.jpg |

So when are they going to be available ? :) |
Great fabrication job on the control arms. How much longer did you make them and what are you rear camber settings?
