Rod, this could get you into the 12's N/A.

and mid 11's with spray.

John,

Maybe he can send you one for testing?

Have a good one guys,

Mike

SC2150 12-13-2010 08:32 PM

LOL! I will probably work something out for John to test and eval, but the snow is there to stay for a few months so they are probably hibernating now.

If John holds true to what he said, IVY is sleeping for the winter. I know mine is. He lives about an hour north of me and we just picked up 9 inches of snow yesterday, blistering cold, worse road conditions I have seen in 15 years or more.

SC2150 12-14-2010 07:40 AM

BBBRRRRRRR! It was even down to 26 degrees HERE last night!

bossbunny 02-13-2011 09:26 PM

Has anyone tried this mod? I am very interested in doing a stall torque converter on my V6, i'm out to eat some 11 v6 mustangs, and I know that there aren't many out there that work for the 6l50.

And can we get a link to purchase this item?

Cyber Gray 04-03-2011 05:38 AM

Can you post more details please !!

SC2150 04-03-2011 09:45 AM

These are not restalled OEM stock units, but custom made billet units that can hold 600 plus HP. The key is launching with the motor in its sweet spot and still have excellent driveability on the street plus lock-up economy on the highway.

No link to buy them just PM me for details. This will transform your car.

Cyber Gray 04-05-2011 03:06 AM

Auto or Manual ?

SC2150 04-05-2011 08:03 AM

Torque converters are in autos only. Manuals have the clutch.

OK!

Thanx for the lesson .

What about the installation, do I have to open my gear box to install them and what kind of tunning they require?

SC2150 04-11-2011 08:25 PM

Just need to drop the trans and swap out your stock one. Should be done by a qualified shop . Tuning is a user preference.

SC2150 04-13-2011 08:12 PM

I'll install it for $200 for anyone local.

KMPrenger 04-19-2011 07:15 PM

Very interesting. There are some V6 track guys here that need to be all over this.

CamaroFreako 04-25-2011 01:44 PM

I am interested, but I have no idea what this is

Edit : I did read your other thread

so is this something I should do before installing headers + tune

or after?

SC2150 04-25-2011 04:12 PM

I would wait on the tune so you can tweak the shift points, etc.

SC2150 05-14-2011 12:51 PM

Rod1's is on the way to his shop and he should have the results soon!!!!

Somehow I saw that one coming.
Any suggestions on clutches for us stick people?

SC2150 05-15-2011 11:27 AM

I will need a stock unit...cluth/pressure plate & flywheel to develop one. Anyone with one to donate for the cause let me know.

SC2150 05-19-2011 12:19 PM

Just to clarify, this is NOT a restalled OEM (stock) unit, but a billet unit built to the same specs as our V8 ones that we race with. NO CORE CHARGE!!!! You keep your stock unit to sell or do what you want with.

SC2150 06-06-2011 09:19 AM

Rod1 should be about ready to hit the track to retake his #1 spot in the V6 fastest list with this!!

Who wants a GP on these?

SC2150 06-09-2011 01:23 PM

Rod1 is headed to the track this weekend. They are going to run with his current TC and then swap out the new RX unit and run again. Same track, hopefully same day.

Stay tuned for the results!!!!

Wewill do these for $599 now as a GP and NO core required!!!!

Those local, we will do them INSTALLED complete for $799

SC2150 06-11-2011 02:08 PM

Waiting to here from Rod1

Amenti 06-29-2011 07:22 PM

I barely stumbled onto this thread, lol....

More goodies from Tracy, and one I can afford! I'll have to look into this after I do my rear-differential swap and tune.

Gonna need a catch can soon, too.......
