TVS 2300 / Supercharger CAM Results and thoughts
Since my other thread jumps around, let me post up the results with different pulley sizes in one post.
Modifications: TVS 2300, Blower Cam (ADM Spec'd), ADM Intake (street version), ARH Catted header system with stock axelback (this will go for a full 3 inch magnaflow axelback soon), Tuned by ADM. Below is the stock 3.8 pulley. This is what I went with since this is my daily driver. The tune is very conservative and this is what I will run for a while. http://www.garywalters.net/camaro/Cr...3.8_PULLEY.JPG Below is the comparision between the 3.6 and 3.4 pullys: With the 3.4 pulley we had belt slip up top or we would have made well over 600rwhp :) .. look at the TQ curve for both of these ... really nice :) I'd like to maybe try the 3.6 eventually since we had no slip with that ... but again .. for my daily driver we want safe :) http://www.garywalters.net/camaro/3.4_PULLEY_TO_3.6.jpg Below is the 3.4 with belt slip (see post above ). This is compared to my stock dyno and my dyno with the ARH catted system and tune. http://www.garywalters.net/camaro/dy...on_initial.JPG ADM still has the car as he is fitting me with his new Boost gauge so I haven't gotten a chance to drive it yet. Once I do, you will have more pics, vids and my thoughts. Go here for pics of the gauge and location: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38289 Thanks, Crowley |

Also very high octane is required with stock compression Ls3 when 10 psi and above. Andy |

Can you define Very High octane?
93? 100? Crowley, If you wouldn't mind, not sure if you posted this anywhere else, PMing me the price tag for the parts on your build... If not I completely understand. |
Are you still using the kit injectors?

I personally think 550-580 is a bit high for stock internals.Back in 2001-2004 we built Twin Turbo Stage 2(Forged bottom end ls1) LPE Corvettes and we were happy with 550-580 rwhp, it was rated at 650 flywheel. Andy |

Just curious what your cam specs are. Or, are they "secret"? If you open that exhaust, you might not need to go to a wider belt. Im making 8.5 psi on my LS3 2300 with 2.9" pulley and stock width belt. No slip.

I left the 3.8 belt on when I changed pulley.Looked like enough load....but was not. I recommend 10+ ribs for more than 10 psi,8.5 should be fine. We run a real tight lobe seperation. Andy |
