40+ degree of timing advance
So I'm doing some data logging today and my Torque program on my Android is showing that I have 40 degree of timing advance.:confused0068:
What the heck is going on? BTW, I'm using the preconfigured PID that came with torque. |
timing is all based on engine load/airflow and rpm if you are just cruisin at light throttle you may have 40+ * timing thats normal,,,
now if you said that you had 40* timing at wot then you would have issues |
yep, Stock timing maps have upwards of 45* in low load/rpm areas

At full throttle you will never see this. |
Try cruising on the interstate where there is no grade and you'll be even more surprised. Mine runs between 52 and 53 degrees advance at 72 MPH.
