CGM LESS THAN 4 Weeks

CGM less than four weeks from being removed from constraint or 4 weeks til build? JasonD from Cz28 said it would be built the 3rd week of April. That would've meant removed from constraint this week. Maybe he meant that it would be removed from constraint the 3rd week of April?

It's said "less than 4 weeks" for a while now.....anybody putting money on next week?? :)

Wasn't it less than 4 weeks last week? Shouldn't it be less than 3 weeks now?

Does that mean CGM will be on constraint for about the next 4 weeks or that they will begin actual production of CGM in about 4 weeks? (Basically - will any CGM orders progress beyond 1100 before the next 4 weeks?) :iono:

BTW, thanks for posting information like this when you get it. If it wasn't for your posts and this forum I would be going insane :mad0259: about my order(In a nutshell, my dealer is an idiot and can't give me any useful information).

Yeah, but it would have taken some effort to make the change, so they passed. ;)



So what, Scotty, the Hurst is just a given constraint now, so they don't bother even mentioning it???

sorry, these constraints are driving me nuts :bonk:

For the CGM, I have to assume that they are referring to the time that they need to finish the Impala paint - so that would mean that they think they will finish them up within 4 weeks, meaning a short setup time for new paint and then they can start painting Camaros. Just a guess.

While the Hurst is not showing on constraint right now, my orders that have a Hurst on em have been placed at the bottom of my order bank with the triangle of death beside em, I'm guessing that isn't a good sign.

could the reason that my car is still at 1100 be because i have the CGM stripes on it?

I doubt it, your strips are stickers, not paint.

ummm.....maybe its because they just haven't gotten to yours yet. A lot of people are still at 1100.

no, you were right...It is not available yet, but since it isn't an option any more, it's not a constraint is how it was described to me.

Gents... my Dealer sent me a short e-mail today about my CGM choice

"I need you to be thinking about your color choice. Next week your order goes up in the system and for now the Cyber Gray is on hold.
I won’t need to know until then but think about it."

I replied and told him I'd stop by Saturday and talk. No way I'm changing my color, but it sounds like I may need some ammunition to keep from getting bumped down his list.

I thought I saw a couple folks w/ CGM progress to Event Code 2000.

Sorry, mlee, no ammo here. No CGM cars have gotten beyond 1100. Camaroscotty says it'll probably be off constraint next week...Thursday, but in the mean time one of your dealer's orders may be pulled, and I believe it's out of his control.

Thought I was going to be a cool cucumber during the wait, but one little e-mail from my dealer and I'm pinging off the walls. Hope I make it to delivery...:bonk:

I can all but guarantee that CGM will be lifted and available for order next week. My dealer will have allocation next week. There's 2 cars ahead of me, both CGM. Assuming they both stick to CGM, mine would get pulled next week. But that won't happen. This is what happened with the LS/LT constraint. It got pulled the same day mine would've been submitted had the constraint not been lifted.

Hey, at least GM is telling you your color is constrained....for those of us with Blue cars on order, our production constraint appears to be a secret. :thumbdown:

Does anybody know FOR SURE that they were next priority at their dealer and got passed over because they ordered IBM or ABM??
