Paint chip repair concerns

So I just repaired a paint chip on the top of my rear quarter panel (the flat part by the pillar) using the Lanka system and the jagged edges of the chip are still visible. I have tried multiple coats of paint but I can't seem to get a perfect flat finish. Should I be worried that the edges of the chip can lead to further chipping in the area? Also, what is the best cloth to put over the card for rubbing the excess paint off? I was using a thin meguairs microfibre towel.

Here is a pic of the chip if that helps. Anyone with any tips?

That chip doesn't appear to be filled in all the way yet. I know when I got some paint chip repair it says to apply 1 coat then check for appearance then apply more if necessary. Then once you're happy with the look allow 24 Hours to cure then apply clear coat which also comes in a small container.

Got the Color for my car from the Dealer and the Clear Coat from an Auto Parts Store.

Thanks. I did multiple coats but the factory touch up paint goes on so thin. I finally had what I thought was a good fill, and when I used Lanka to smooth it out the above picture was the result. Should I be using something different then a meguairs micro fibre towel with the Lanka system?

try using the thinnest cotton tee shirt you can find, wrapped around a stiff plastic credit card, the mf towel is too thick........ next time try dr colorchip, gets a good fill everytime and is much easier IMO.

Thanks. I was thinking the towel might be taking too much out. I will try a t shirt and see how that works.
