Agreed that's one reason I switched to cai . That and its a mother putting it back on especially on a 102 tb.

litle88 03-16-2013 06:51 AM

I've had mine since 2010 and have has NO problems.

dcoates18481 03-16-2013 06:59 AM

Agreed,
No problems servicing the element.

ssmike 03-16-2013 07:40 AM

No problems here either! I will admit that it is a PITA to service the filter but well worth the effort for the performance I get over any of the conventional cai's!

nighttowl 03-16-2013 07:58 AM

every time I clean the filter I have such a hard time getting it to go back together that I want to stop it into the ground an throw it into the street. there has to be a better way.

This frustration wouldn't have anything to do with the pic you posted in your fouled plug thread would it? ;)

I have only needed to pull my Vararam once to clean the filter and I must admit it was a wrestling match to get it back on. Thought it was just me in an "all thumbs" moment. I'll tolerate the situation as I like it other than that. I'm hoping practice makes perfect for the next time.

for me , it's no worse than when i first installed it.
it's a labor of love.....

SSGUNNER 03-16-2013 11:40 AM

Wow. Didnt knkw the servicing of the vararam is a pita. I went c.a.i. and like it. It much easier to get into my cc also.

Id rather struggle a bit during maintenance than have high IAT's with a metal intake behind a radiator. just saying
