Driver speaker out?

If there is no sound coming from the driver door speaker, does that mean its blown out? I figured if it was blown there would at least be some distorted sound coming through. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance everyone!

It depends on what was going on when it blew. I have seen voice coils melt so bad that the speaker would not move at all. only way to really determine if it is blown is to remove the speaker and see if you can make it move with your fingers. If it moves freely (no scratchy feeling and makes no noise) then you may have a blown channel in your amp, or a disconnected wire.

At least that is how I would go about it.

DarkRider is correct, it could also be the amp or the wiring. Not always, but you will often hear distortion from the speaker if it's a problem with the speaker. You will need to remove it to find out for sure.

Are you running the stock sound system or have any changes been made to the audio equipment?

It's a stock BA system with no changes at all. It was fine before I took it to the body shop -_-.

Guess I'm gonna pull the door apart then...
