strut brace mounting question..

Since i'am going to do sways i was considering a strut brace aswell. Can someone break it down for me. I posted pics to kinda of demonstrate what iam talking about.
I see how the BMR brace are bolted strait to the strut then i seen the oem 1LE brace and Hotchkis are bolted to what appears to be the car. Like the oem and Hotchkis brace how does that brace the strut if its not bolted to it. |

1LE bar - yes with stock SS Hood.
ZL1 bar - no with stock SS Hood. ZL1 is / has more bend height to clear the Supercharger and needs the ZL1 hood which has a taller center section. My SS with 1LE bar. |

I'm almost there. Saturday I de-greased the 1LE brace for my SS, then applied adhesion promoter. Sunday I painted it black, and today masked it for Camaro lettering. I used a laser engraver to cut the lettering:
