If your not moving up to a 102/102 then ported stocker is the way to go.

Thanks guys! I really prefer aftermarket over porting the stocker though...I truly feel that porting in general will compromise the integrity of the part. Although I am very close to just saying F-IT! and porting my stocker lol...BBK!!! You are killing me!!!

Sapper12b 05-26-2013 11:11 PM

I need to get one on order

Porting cylinder heads compromises the integrity of the part too?

You're right, I should say just TB and intake due to breaks or leaks...Probably a very small fraction of a percentage of a chance that they'll fail as a result, but my OCD ass will worry for a brief time after install. That being said, it wouldn't stop me from buying one if there are no other options under 102mm. It is a great deal for what you get and I'm sure I'll get over my OCD and be happy.

Understood. When I started porting tb's back in the day I was more concerned with the half shaft mod more than anything so I tested it to see how durable it would be. I did however start using grade 8 blade screws.

Half shaft mod? First I've heard on this site...Is that possible with our stock 90mm?

Yes. I just got the grade 8 bolts for the ls3 tb the other day to start testing for a race port that will require a tune.

From what I've read a high % of people agree that throttle response was improved. There are dynos that show improved power, anywhere from 1-12hp as I recall, but many are skeptical of any hp/tq gains at all.
