Nathon, where did you find the coil relocation brackets and the coil harness?

From these guys http://www.ebay.com/itm/LS2-LS3-coil...258728&vxp=mtr

Speak with Brent, he was very helpful. kilo-9 is a member here that's already tackled the coil relocation. He didn't use an extension. So I'm going to go with his advice. Without his help, I would be chasing my tail! Once I complete the project, I'm going to do a DYI to take some of the guess work out along with a list of all the parts needed and part numbers.

A DIY write-up would be great. I would like to do this soon myself.

Those are very nice. The only thing I see is they require 3 bolts and it's a PITA to drill into the frame rails.

I was looking on e-bay at your mounts did you see it said not for camaro coils, Have you tried to mount the coils on this new mount?

brantley847 12-26-2011 08:35 AM

...anyone aware if the rotofab radiator cover will fit the CAI intake?

They are local to me, so I just drove over. The only thing that's different for our cars is the spacer that separates the coils. Base on my coil pack parts # 12611424, he gave me the spacer that would fit. GM has at least three different coil parts # for our Camaro's. Parts # 12570616, 1257061 and 12611424. You need to make sure you confirm which one you have when ordering a set.

Yes it will

Powder coating the GM and FAST manifolds is no problem, we have been doing it for a few years now:)

Here's the manifold and engine cover album on our site if anyone wants to see some examples

PS we charge alot less than Peak does, I've actually had that conversation with them via PM on LS1tech about their pricing being a bit silly lol

Well, here's a little update. Got a few more parts in and I had some time, so I figure I'd do a couple of seemingly easy tasks.

This is the relocation ground cable I ordered from http://Genuinedealz.com
The bolts are from http://store.yoastfabrication.com/se...e-Bolts/Detail

http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...9/IMG_7805.jpg

When I relocated the EVAC solenoid from off the cylinder head over by the fuse box, I was left with an empty hole. That's were the bolts come into play.

http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...IMG_7808-1.jpg

Looks a little more finished now.

http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...9/IMG_7812.jpg

I figured while I was at it, I might as well remove the other bolt that holds the ground cable and brackets. Keep in mind that once I relocate the ground cable to the drivers side, the only thing left will be the two bolt. I'm still waiting for the ARP bolts for the cable. In the meantime, if somebody just want to clean that section up, without relocating the cable, this might be an idea. Plus there's the added benefit that the car probably lost a few ounces in weight, LOL.

Here the finish product.

http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...9/IMG_7818.jpg

Quick tip: Bolts are in tight, so don't pull on the ranch so hard that when it comes lose, you end up smashing your hand, ouch! I think it might be helpful to do a DIY on "How to remove blood from your engine bay"

http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...9/IMG_7814.jpg

Here's the bolts I removed. For those interested getting rid of some weight, there might be a few ounces of saving there.
