What parts would I need to do the swap?

Matt at FSP would be who you should contact about installing the 4l. Although he went from an m6 to the 4l, he'll know exactly what's needed to make it work. |

Put down some real power Jamie and you'll think twice about saying that LOL. Either way, yes I had a 4L60E in my car (Swapped in from a m6), so there are a few more items to take care of when swapping into a factory 6l80e car. Short list.. Flexplate Converter Trans Trans Crossmember & Poly Mount Dipstick Driveshaft custom length (I can get you one from DSS) Auto vs. Manual valve Body (Electronics?) I have the stock 6L80E shifter in the car, with the stock shift rod. You'll need to do a bit of massaging to the stock shift rod to make it work. From my knowledge no one has made a trans crossmember yet, Doug @ ECS made mine for me one-off. Also, the 4L60E requires you to massage the floorboards in on the passenger side tunnel (Yes get out the big hammer). - Matt |
What trans controller would you use with 4l60

People still scared to push these 6L80Es? LOL my 2011 sierra Denali has been pushing 600-800rwhp for 2yrs just with a 3k converter I'm sure these cars can hold that easy unless your over 900rwhp

my 6l80e started flaring the 3-4 shift after 2 weeks at 650whp.
im waiting on my new 4l80e from rpm right now. pcs controller here. you guys both running stock shifter still? |
A whole lot of patience :)
I opted for the hurst shifter to give it a nice "metal look" i guess, but ive seen the stock shifter in many. |
Also that PCS Controller is very easy to work with and figure out if you do your own adjusting. If not even after a few times of going threw it, you will get the hang of it.
