Service Departments: Dealerships and Stealerships
How to read the Dealerships and Stealerships list:
USA
Canada |
I'll be adding to this as I find more (feel free to recommend some). Once we get a solid list going this will become a sticky.
|
so your asking for ANY dealership? the good, the bad, and the ugly?

You might wanna be more specific. Like which is red or black. Personally I think you should make a list seperate and just have stealerships.

Not sure how they operate as far as a dealership that we're familiar with, but we do have folks in Puerto Rico, Europe, Middle East, etc...who buy new cars as well...
|
What about dealers with awful service departments that are good in sales?

Excellent. This is what is needed!!! All who have great experiances with your dealer service center make it known as they deserve fellow members business. The bad ones need to be outed as well. Lets hope the good ones far out number the bad.
 |

I think this is a little reckless? I understand the point here, but the potential for abusing such a list is high. You're going by the word of someone you don't know and never met?
Also, isn't there already a sticky on this very issue in the dealer section? |
Dealership: Chevy of Milford.
That's in Connecticut. |
Her e my thoughts. In my area there a poster that said that a certain dealer had a great but to me they was losey. I got pissed off and went to another dealer and got it there for$1500 less. If I wasn't pissed I might gotten cheaper. So you got one black and one red.
I will not so one way or the other. It to much on a opinion. |
Stealerships in Phoenix: Courtesy, Midway, Power (on Bell)
Dealerships: Gateway and Vans |
1 bad interaction with a dealership will deem them a stealership regardless of fault?

Found it!
Shreveport/Bossier City, Louisiana Bad service: Red River Chevrolet---More than one oil change that left oil on and underneath my car(should have taken pictures but I didn't). When I brought it back because of the oil all underneath my car the service desk guy(not sure what they are called) got the tech that did the oil change, put my car on a lift, and showed me it wasn't leaking(which I knew already). They wiped it off and sent me on my way. I was so upset at the whole ordeal I emailed the service manager directly and only then did I get an apology and of course, some free oil changes.---They rotated the tires on my 2SS/RS(staggered setup of course) at one of the previously mentioned oil changes. I did have one good experience with a tech that was great named Mike Rader, but I'm pretty sure I couldn't have only him touching my car(he did an alignment on my car and he allowed me to watch and he explained it all to me, very nice guy!). So overall, bad.**apparently I DID take pictures-not as dumb as I thought!** Good service(so far): Chevyland |

Idea - the member has to post their story as to why its a dealership/stealership, and I could make the dealership/stealership text a hyperlink to said post. And yes, but that sticky is specifically about dealers that charge more than MSRP - aka "Price Gouging Dealers" |
Stealership Jessup Auto Plaza & Paradise Chevrolet Temecula
Jessup has wrecked my truck, argued with me that my trucks motor was fine, then they rebuilt my motor after I made them do a compression check, have screwed up my rims on my SS, gouged my door panel of my SS and more. Think that should be enough for now Paradise Chevrolet sold me a "new" Camaro SS, after I bought it I knew something wasn't right with it. It had been wrecked and had $10,000 in damage. Had to fight with them to buy it back. Think that should suffice as to why they are both stealerships. Oh and I have proof about paradise as well, paid $600 for a professional to write a small book on it so I could fight the stealership. |

Ray Chevrolet in Fox Lake, IL. Good prices on the cars, but go with cash.
Will low ball on the trade in and will not give competitive rates on the loan so make sure you go prequalified with your own company. I told them what other dealers were offering in trade, from 3K to 3.8K and my credit union was prequalified for 2.9%. 1. Offered $1000.00 on trade of a 2006 Chrysler 300. 2. "Best" interest rate they could come up with us 5.5% and pressured to get the loan from them. 3. As I demanded my keys back after getting tired of asking for them, heard the sales manager as the salesman if he should have offered me $3000.00 on the trade. By the time I got home, about two hour drive, they offered 3800 on the trade and requested I come back out. Turned it down and ended up with my sweet 2LT a few days later from a local dealer. |
Day chevrolet in uniontown pennsylvania was awesome! they really knew their stuff and did everything they could to make the buying experience as great as it was. not one bad thing to say about them

For service department, Bill Deluca's Woodworth Chevrolet Cadillac in Andover, MA. is Great!
David Brown is the Service Director there..... The guy went out of his way to get my Camaro fixed right. I might even go back there to get my '14 SS (1LE). |
Dealership: Banner Chevy, New Orleans, LA
Purchase: I checked most dealerships from Baton Rouge to Mobile, AL. I got the first price from Banner and it turned out to be best. Service: I have only been to their service dept twice but so far so good. Neither of my issues have been mod-related though. |
Northeast Ohio?
Two good dealerships come to mind. Classic Chevy Madison Ohio( Salesman Tom Hook) Progressive Chevy Massillon Ohio (Salesman Jim Hall) As with any dealership - do your homework before going in to buy. And if you have a good idea where $$ you'd like to be with price, be prepared to buy with either of these two guys. |
Dealer: Fox Chevy Timonium, MD
Have purchased 3 vehicles there. Good friend was our sales associate who confirmed the inner workings of their sales team as sound. I know that we are very happy with how our purchases went. My cousins fiancé was also a mechanic there and I've always been satisfied with their service end as well. |

2nd on paradise chevy in temecula being awful. from sales to service its a stealership.
i would add that mark christopher (all gm) in ontario is a quality dealer. Bought my car there 4 years ago. Will buy my wifes caddy there. Only dealer i will ever let touch any of my cars again in socal... figured out a oil pressure issue when i had something in my pickup tube. 4 other dealers told me it was fine. |
Dealership....not sure if counts as they are not a Chevy dealer, but they were patient and made me feel as if I left the place with a great deal.
Hyundai on Perryville in Rockford, IL. We actually made the deal for the Camaro on the phone going back and forth over a couple hours as I was playing games online. |
stealership capitol chevy salem Oregon
Dealership ron tonkin chevy Portland Oregon |
OK for New Jersey...
Stealership: Pine Belt Chevrolet (on Route 88 in Lakewood) Dealership: Circle Chevrolet (in Shrewsbury) When I bought my current Camaro I went to Pine Belt first and it just didn't seem like they wanted to sell me a car that day. The car that I wanted was something that they just couldn't seem to find (I think they wanted to sell me something off their lot). When I stopped into Circle Chevrolet, the mood of just walking in the front door seemed better already. They didn't have the exact car I wanted, but they found it in Pennsylvania (the same way Pine Belt could have...if they wanted to) and the sales experience couldn't have gone better from start to finish. As for my trade in, Pine Belt low-balled me and when I didn't seem happy about the offer they started offering me more money for my trade-in. With Circle Chevrolet the first offer for a trade-in value was more (slightly) than the eventual last offer from Pine Belt. One other thing is that I had a $1,000 Chevrolet Loyalty Check to use for my purchase. With Pine Belt they wanted to give me $1,000 worth of add-ons and use the coupon that way. With Circle Chevrolet, they let me take the $1,000 off the price of the deal they made me for the car. Without a doubt...Dealership = Circle Chevrolet (Shrewsbury). Stealership = Pine Belt (Route 88 in Lakewood). |
