How good are the speakers?

How good are the speakers and do they come with a sub?

I assume you're referring to the Boston Acoustincs speakers... It's all subjective of course but I thought the speakers were pretty damn good. Probably one of the most "full" and balanced systems I've heard in a while. This was with music off my Zune so I know what it should sound like too. But no, it doesn't come with a standalone sub.

Boston Acoustic make some nice stuff. They make different grades of course, and not sure what grade is in the Camaro, but you shouldn't be disappointed.

You can add a sub

There is a dealer installed sub available.

I'm a little past the age where I want a system to "boom" and am more about clarity and sonic-range. I hear BA is excellent in both areas.

It is probably not "High Grade" top quality BA speakers that are going into the Camaro. For that you will be spending well over $2,000. However I'm sure it will sound way better than the stock speakers...

I figured that they wouldn't be. I had a set of BA rallye's in my old truck and loved them. Really fell in love with BA back in the 90's when I had a system in my RX7.

What about the non-Boston Acoustics upgrade system? Anyone hear the basic system?

They're decent speakers,I've heard them in many Chrysler products, but one thing you need to remember is a speakers sound and clarity are only as good as the audio that is being pushed through them;)

You can spend $1,000 on speakers and $100 on a Radio shack CD player, and your stereo/speakers are still gonna sound like crap.

If you think the audio coming out of a youtube video sounds good, then you don't need to upgrade to the BA speakers..

That car had the ABL also.
