This is a build your own :)
Total cost $15 for fittings and clamp
Pic#1- an old a/c dryer
#2-cut dryer in half to see whats inside
#3-found a cone,desacant bag,micron filter, this is in all a/c dryers
#4-both dryers, rh one is used for the bottom and left for the upper section. discarded both ends with a/c sevice valves on them
#5-cross drilled tube for upper half of seperator, both of those micron screens cover alll the holes when installed
#6,7-pics of lower part with tube removed to install drain valve
#8-first test fit of two halfs with a aluminum plug installed at the end of tube
#9-close up shot of micron screens covering holes.ps the lower half below the cone will also have some #0 steel wool just to help oil seperation.
More pics to follow once the aluminum fittings for the hoses and other stuff(below) come in.
The two halfs are held together with a stainless "mj" clamp used in plumbing.
A bracket must also be welded onto the lower half.

Can you explane what this is for and how or why you intend to use it?

This is for the Engines PCV system to prevent oil in the crankcase gases from entering the intake manifold. I had a couple of A/C dryers off old cars and figured I could make a PCV Oil Seperator better and cheaper than what I've seen online.:) I should of waited till I was done to post pics but.... also it can be painted or polished being aluminum. more pics when done.
Oh and I'm still waiting on the car as it should be here mid April and wanted to start making/buying parts.:)
