Worth the price? CTS-V calipers
Hey guys, I dont know too much about breaks but I want to upgrade my 2013 2LT/RS to better breaks for the autobahn. There is a guy on base selling some calipers for 300 could someone who knows more about this tell me if its worth the price?

Might be worth it, but they're about 7 years old. Looks like they've been well used, logos are fading likely from heat if I had to guess. You'll need rotors as well as bolts, and I'm not certain if you lines will work you'll probably need SS specific lines.
Pretty much the same calipers that come on a SS. If I were you, I would wait and get a SS set in better shape for a little bit more money. The newer CTS-V calipers are 6-piston fronts, this is the older style by the way. |
To answer you're question, Yes for 300 bucs worth the price. But you will need rotors and brake lines.

the ctvs brakes are the best money can buy besides super exotic kits. If you look good the ctvs brakes are the ones ferrari and mercedes amg use on their super cars :)
|
Those are the same as stock SS brakes, not the 6 piston ones on the current CTSV. Look around a little, someone may be selling Stock SS brakes, the rears on those will need to be modified as I think they are mounted in a different position from the Camaro.

I would pass on these and look at the marketplace here on C5. I just picked up a complete set for $700. (calipers, pads & rotors).

You can get a very niced used SS set for $500-$600 on this site wiht everything you need for the front, not sure what the rears go for.

Awesome thanks a lot guys!
