Trick to removing cable from LSA throttle bottle?
I know this is probably a dumb question, but I'm going to ask anyway. Is there a trick to removing the cable from the LSA throttle body? I know when I swapped TBs on my 2SS I just pulled the cable out. It doesn't look like that will work with the LSA cable. I have a ported TB coming from Tampa Tuning and just want to make sure I know all the ins and outs before making the swap.
Thanks for your help. |
it is really simple...just a plug to squeeze and it pops right off...more like a wiring harness and no throttle "cable" as almost all cars are drive by wire

It is a very simple process, move intake out of the way to access some bolts. Remove 4 bolts and connector. Then just reverse order to put the new one on and tighten the bolts to 89 in.lbs. |

Only other mod I have is an Elite catch can which I installed at 200 miles. I now have over 1800 miles on the car. When I took the TB off today and looked inside the intake manifold, it was clean as a whistle. I saw no traces of oil anywhere. That made me feel good. All in all, I'd have to say the ported TB and catch can have both been worthwhile mods. And the customer service I received from Tampa Tuning has been beyond excellent. |
did you go with the 87 or the 90 mm tb ?
