:yikes: looks like you took her over the 4000 RPM's
oh ya i did! lol i break it in like i drive it.
So much for the rings getting a chance to seat...:yikes:
ehh there seated. if they werent it wouldnt make good power
I did it correctly after 1500 miles, IMO that's way too risky to work the engine like that with just 100 miles.
First 70% of the break in is first 50 miles.
its good to play it safe but i dont see a need for a "special" break in period.. thats just my opinion.
EDITED! |
on another note i was very pleased/surprised that it put down 524. it was 75* so im sure that helped. the car is no where near the power of my last build but i really feel like im driving a completely different car. i love the power and poise and refinement. i am more excited to own and drive it than i anticipated.

sounds like a similar story. i sold my SS to my friend but just as a H/C car - took the YSI off. so it went from 800rwhp to 525rwhp. and he still beats on it hard like i did. he also wants to race me. i am eager to see how the cars do. we have about the same hp but i have about 40 more tq but our power-bands are different. also i am pretty confident i can out drive him lol! |
nice
