I cut out, and put on a separate layer,
every little detail of the car. Right down to the side-repeater lamps. Everything. Because then I take the original picture, and colorize it. The cuts on the "outside" edges of the body and the tires need to be perfect, so it looks like I'm only coloring the back, seemlessly.
This approach also gives me more flexibility with the car's features. Hence, I can change the grille to look like billet aluminum...
