just got done doing this myself...

Heat up the knuckle with a propane torch (BE VERY CAREFUL OF RUBBER BOOTS)...

oh and a sledge with a sacrificial 10mm socket so you don't ruin the threads/joint socket

It was the only way I could get mine off.
