That'll pop right out

Hopefully...

Was at a buddy's house yesterday and his brother backed his Explorer ST into my parked SS.

It's a pretty big dent, but the door is no longer flush with the body when closed and the handle is considerably loose.

*sigh* Now the hassle begins...

ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!

We need disclaimers before these accident threads... my eyes are starting to bleed from all this.

Question: How in the he11 did he back into the side of your car? Shouldn't he have backed into your grill or trunk? It takes a certain skill to suck so bad at driving that you hit the SIDE of a PARKED car.

Thats a new door. Hopefully they will fix it better than mine. I am in the world of rattles ever since I got my car and the door was dented. They keep telling me they can't fix it.

agree with Scott, I think you need a new door. It will permanently have that crease in the sheet metal.

Here's my not-to-scale, MS Paint recreation of how it happened.

He was trying to avoid the Civic upon backing out, said he didn't even see my car at all.

Why would he try to avoid the civic?

I'm definitely going to push for one. I got it back in May, so for this to happen so soon warrants a new door, IMO.

It's definitely not going to "pop out." You'll probably end up with a new door skin.
