How's everyone's Brake Rotors?

My Rear rotors are showing signs of rust coming thru the silver and they have white stains from the salt perhaps. I haven't taken delivery yet so I haven't taken any good pictures. The car is ready for pick up. I will make sure it's noted. I might be able to clean them up.

Normal, you can clean and paint the center hubs and will look good as new.

The rust will go away after you hit the brakes at 79 miles per hour. The rest wash and polish with love.

I spent 47 hours total cleaning and detailing this car after it was received. On all our 5th gens, we sand and paint the hats on the rotors. The rust was really bad on the ZL1, so we took the wheels off, had to since we cleaned underneath as well, taped around it, and painted. They look incredible Since it's staying stock, I found a silver that matched perfectly for the hats! I also went around the outer line of the front brakes. It's worth it, do it once, and you don't have to worry about it again. They wash much easier as well

BTW, also did this under the hood, and painted everything that was rusty or had spots, everything looks factory perfect!

Exactly what I will be doing. Which Brand silver did you use?

Thank You.

Could you post up some pics on what you did? Not familiar with the term "hat"..

Thank you!

I'm going to guess that the hat is the hub of the rotor the bolts go through and the part right behind the wheel you see through the spokes. Painting it silver sounds like a great idea.

Mine still look good. I was thinking of painting them the same as the car (ABM).
