The rumble of a v8
I want the deep rumble of the older cars. Is there anything that can come close or am I living in the past and doomed to buzzes and pops?

Still have a few months on my warranty so no headers yet. I have Solo hi-flow cats and midpipes teamed up to GMPP Track Pack (round, off-road mufflers) axle-back. It's definitely quite loud and rumbly without being too obnoxious. Love it.

I LOVE the way that mine sounds, Doug Thorley 1 3/4" Tri Y longtube headers, midpipes "no cats", straight pipe all the way to the rear,and flowmaster super 10 mufflers. It sounds awesome at idle and even better when you punch it. Its LOUD

IMO you can get close by doing what other posters have said but you will never be able to exactly duplicate that sweet deep rumbling old school sound of the old muscle cars. Too many components are different nowadays.
