Scheduling first mods

I just made an appointment to have my first mods done to my Camaro SS.

Going with their "415 RWHP Street Package", which includes:
Dynatech Long Tube Headers and High flow cats,
A Cold Air Inductions Air intake system.
An SCT hand Held Tuner with tune

Any advice on whether or not I should do anything else? I inquired to them about an aftermarket cat-back exhaust but he mentioned how most/all aftermarkets besides corsa have drone at cruising speed. He said the factory one will have no drone, so I decided to stay with that.

My car should be here tuesday. Already bought a stage 2 cam, wheels and 305 drag radials and have started my parts list for turbos. Go for it man!

Don't you need the tune for the headers/high flow cats?

He should and not pay for the tuner he is getting, but its a good start.

Headers is a great first mod.

With all due respect, there is very little power, if any, to be had after the cats. This has been documented many times on the dyno and reported here on this forum. Some guys have changed their cat backs and got 2-3 hp gains while others have gotten none from cat back systems. However, there are real power gains to be had with a tune.

The only changes you can expect from cat backs are audible improvements. How you hear your car is subjective, but many here, including myself, swear by the sound of a LS3 with headers and hi-flo cats with a stock system after the cats. Truly awesome sounding; no drone at cruising freeway speeds, but a loud and powerful sound on wide open throttle...best of both worlds

This is pretty much what I wanted to know. The SS is in the shop right now, unfortunately. The "blower motor" stopped working so no air was being blown out of the air conditioner, very bad timing as last week was the hottest week of the year. Dropped the car off 2 days ago, the dealer called me today and said they had the part shipped over but the actual motor wasn't in the box for no apparent reason. Hopefully all is well tomorrow, can't wait to get it up and running and over to the shop.

I went with aftermarket exhaust for two reasons. I didn't think the stock SS had enough of a V8 sound, and I wanted rid of those hideous spare gas tank looking mufflers that were part of the stock exhaust.
