Rear Diff
So I just hit my first oil change after 50K miles, so I replaced the fluid in my rear diff. haha, I think it's crazy that after 17 months I'm at 52K. Anyway, just posting to see if anyone else is over 50K in WA.
also, rear diff in the LT was easy. 1 Pint of GL5 syn with gm LSD additive. took me 15min to drain, flush and fill!

Commits weekly crime

I'm at almost 27k after a year.
I have, however, been changing my oil far more often than you (though you have the 6cyl). I've pretty much changed the oil each time the oil life guage hits 10-5%.

I think he meant, his first oil change after 50,000 miles.. not his first oil change ever. that thing would have grenaded a long time ago otherwise! lol
I think I'll wait until 30k to do the diff and trans fluid. I'm only at 3k. 50k+ is impressive

In the book it said to change the fluid in the diff the first oil change you do after 50K.. idk the wording is messy there.

I like to think I know better then GM. I know I don't, but it's cheap insurance to ensure things work properly for longer. : )

Don't be harsh. A lot of us use them as daily drivers and we drive a lot for our jobs or have long commutes. I think if you got a lot of "But Time" you might as well enjoy the ride!!! Please consider where you stand when you read my signature. Don't judge others for the extent of their use of THEIR car.
P.S. Most of us that drive this much love our rides enough to change the first oil change between 500 to 1000 miles to be safe. Just a thought.
